Being in the translation business nearly 20 years, I am lucky enough to choose to translate what I enjoy most. I do SEO translation, Google ad words and such on request. Please note, I don´t like dry source text like legal/financial/medical - but I can recommend several high qualified linguists for these fields.

Transcreation and Copywriting

"It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken" This slogan from Frank Perdue was translated in Spanish as "It takes a hard man to make a chicken aroused."

This quote shows you that it is impossible to translate slogans/ads literally. I will adapt your advertisement/copy to a German speaking target audience, taking into account cultural and social factors, all matched to your company´s identity and message. (Transcreation)

I love transcreations! It can be very time consuming in that they require a lot of research and collecting of creative ideas - honing, brainstorming - sometimes rhyming - finding the perfect pun - sounding out - sometimes even singing (i.e. for TV ads with songs).  I am always  proud when I see my transcreations on German TV or posters!

Proofreading and Editing

If you dont happen to speak German, you will never know if the translator you hired did a good job until someone points out the mistakes in your website/brochure/book. I can proofread your already translated content for correct spelling, grammar and punctuation (Proofreading).
